ONIGIRI is the theme of todays Bentos!

My sons bento has a musubi inspired onigiri, a green tinted molded car egg, sliced carrots with ranch dressing in the cute bear sauce bottle and in the cat container there are a few M&M's!
For my daughter I put in a salmon onigiri, sliced carrots with ranch dressing there in the cute sauce bottle and a yellow tinted Cinnamoroll molded egg! For dessert I put in a tiny box of Meiji chocolates;)

Salmon & Nori Furikake Onigiri Tutorial

1st I mix in the nori furikake to my steamed rice.
2nd I mix in the flaked salmon.
3rd I put it into the onigiri mold and pop it out once it is nice and compacted in the mold!
4th I add some nori at the bottom for easy holding & mess free eating!
The 5th step is the easiest and YUMMIEST...EAT IT UP!

How I make my Nori Furikake!

I prefer to make my own nori furikake because I can get it at the texture and flake size that I want!
1. I get my favorite Nori
2.Decide how much I want to make.
3.Put the nori into my food processor.
4.Run the food processor for the amount of time that is needed to get the flake size I like!

PRETTY SIMPLE and perfect for onigiri!

Tuna & Furikake Star Onigiri

Last night I premade the Star onigiri. It is just rice, tuna and furikake mixed together and then I put it into my star rice mold. For Nico I added his first initial using nori and for Reyna I added a star cheese. Nico has informed that he wants more food than I have been packing for him so he has a 2 tier bento box today with extra fruit and cheese. reyna has a mini weiner, kiwi, flower shaped carrots and green beans. Nico has red grapes, cheeses, green beans & carrots!
