Tamago Molds!

Well I had some computer problems yesterday and I was unable to post these bentos. I made molded eggs for the kids and dyed them blue with food coloring. I used extra large eggs this time and it really made a difference. My son also had steamed rice with nori pokemon chracters, sliced apple and 2 flower dogs! My daughter had steamed rice with ochazuke, some fat japanese grapes and flower carrots!

CORRECTION!!!!

In my last Bento post I said that the cute pokemon was Furikake...but it isn't! It is actually instant ochazuke. It's got flavored granules of green tea/dashi, rice crackers and dehydrated fish cake in a small packet. Basically, you dump the packet over rice and add hot water. Though, I can see it being partiucularly delicious used in the place of furikake. :D
